Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Painpoint Finder ("we", "us", "our") collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to https://ppfinder.dev and to the research reports we sell through it.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is:
- Junhui Cai, an individual / sole trader operating under the laws of the People's Republic of China
- Contact: caijunhui02@gmail.com
Because we act as a small independent operation, this single address handles all privacy, support, and billing enquiries.
2. What we collect
2.1 Information you give us
- Order details — the niche or customer segment you ask us to research, plus any brief you send us.
- Email address — the address you use to buy or to contact us, so we can deliver the report and respond.
- Correspondence — the content of messages you send us.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Payment information — transaction amount, currency, payment status, and a payment reference. We never receive or store your full card number. Card data is handled entirely by our payment processor (see Section 5).
- Basic technical data — the pages you visit on this site and standard server logs. This site is served as static files and does not run first-party analytics or advertising trackers.
2.3 Information about the public conversations we research
Our reports are built from publicly available posts and comments on public online communities. When we quote such material, we quote it as it already appears in public, together with a link back to the original source. We do not attempt to de-anonymise pseudonymous authors, and we do not collect personal information about them beyond what is already public in the source thread.
3. How we use your information
- To process your order and deliver the report.
- To respond to your questions and provide support.
- To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- To prevent fraud and misuse of the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Cookies and tracking
This website does not set first-party marketing or analytics cookies. The checkout is operated by our payment processor and is subject to their own cookie and privacy practices.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We share personal information only with parties who need it to run the service:
| Recipient | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Waffo Pancake (Merchant of Record) | Processes payment, handles tax compliance, issues receipts, and acts as the seller of record for your purchase. |
| Email provider | Delivering the report and correspondence to you. |
| Hosting provider | Serving this website. |
| Professional advisers or authorities | Only where required by law. |
Waffo Pancake is the Merchant of Record for purchases made on this site. That means Pancake is the legal seller of the product to you, and your payment is processed under Pancake's own terms and privacy policy in addition to ours.
6. Automated and AI-assisted processing
We use software — including third-party AI models — to help collect, group, and summarise public conversations. This processing operates on publicly available text, not on your personal data. Your order details are used to scope the research; they are not sold, and they are not used to train third-party models by us.
We do not make decisions about you by automated means in a way that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
7. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, including restricting access to the small number of systems that need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data retention
We keep order records and correspondence for as long as needed to deliver the service, to handle any follow-up, and to satisfy tax and accounting requirements. After that we delete or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time (see Section 10).
9. International transfers
We are based in the People's Republic of China and our service providers may process data in other countries. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on our providers' contractual safeguards and process only what is necessary to deliver the service.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate information;
- ask us to delete information we no longer need;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- request a portable copy of your information;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email caijunhui02@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.
11. Children
The service is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be described on this page.
